Food Republic at Vivocity blew me away with its decor.

Then there were ants on my desk… because i did not water the plant… the soil became suitable for the ants to live in… when i pour water to chase them out… they plot against me!!! see pictures to support my claims… they can be cunning… beware!!

And of course not forgetting my baby tasha… hahaha i like her looking soft and vulnerable… you sickos!

thats roughly the duration from "i am out from uni"… and "i am working" … time flies… and I must say… its not smooth sailing like i thought it will be … a lot of struggles … from things like… adjusting to the corporate world of backstabbing and standing on my own… perhaps what i will miss most back in those days where we are still studying… are the laughters and jokes… that often came up… to destress from our hectic study… sigh…
i also miss eating lunch and meeting you to go home… its weirdly sweet… i guess thats how studying is memorable… without you standing by me… i would have gone to IMH… hahaha… joking… exams and tests… haha… by year 3… i wasnt thinking about how was i passing it… but rather… when will it end… well… it ended… and in place of it … is air… i haven’t been able to read a book like before… no matter how hard i try…
i met Meng Wei recently at PS… hihi Meng Wei
I am so glad… you are doing well. I really thought hard about it… but since most of us aren’t doing what we have studied… i might as well say something… …stop for a second… and ask if our passion is still there… if it is … why aren’t we following it? we are all quite coward right? or is it because the doors are shut? i dunno… but having been out of touch with civil for more than a year… i dunno if i can ever go back… but my passion for building and water is still there… being in HR recruitment for a year… i realises this passion is still there… when i hear fellow mates from civil interviewing for a lecturer position… i can hear them … i can feel their passion… n it really brings back alot of those memories… sigh…
i am so lazy nowadays… i feel like i am a bum… always shopping… always doing something but real work…
of cos… at this stage of my life… i hope to earn and save as much as i can… reading news about being retrenched and jobless at age 40 onwards is scary… i wouldn’t want to end up in that scenario… much less live life like that… i really must buck up and do something worthwhile…
i am all talk and thoughts but no action… slap me

Chew Sin Huey or Shi Xin Hui (Hanyu Pinyin) - no matter which way you pronouce it… it still sounds beautiful… ok… i love Xin Hui (Sin Huey)… she has such beautiful voice…
this first season of project superstar 1st runner-up female singer is by far the best of the lot… if you are still thinking about her so-called controversal unbutton-buttons-on-her-shirt-to-expose-partial-cleavage-bra-girl well… you are missing out on the real gems… haha… not those two… but the real thing… her voice
if her first single and title to the album "From Taipei to Beijing" is anything but jumpy and disco-like… the rest of her album is subdued and powerful… this first single is catchy minus the bra exposing moments… and definitely a hit… this album also include 10 remixes of this first single… cool huh
the second song, Ni Gei De - Your gift - is a chinese version of a malay song "AWAN YANG TERPILU" performed by Ning Baizura… erm I don’t really like Ning’s version… you can compare it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcno-g-x_lA. Anyway, Sin Huey’s version blew me away. She displays a very good vocal control and emotes terribly well for a new comer. Gasp… i have goose pimples at the Bridge portion and the final chorus is so fantastic… ala A*Mei’s Ni Shi Wo De Bao - You Are My Precious - song.
The 3rd song is I Believe… its another cover of japanese artiste’s song Ayaka (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SncXrX-2f_Q)… but it sounds like FIR’s kind of song… This song is not as catchy as the first two singles but nevertheless… another hit.
Let’s skip the fourth song… and move on to the fifth… Zuo Tian - Yesterday… another wonderfully subdued song… this girl is Kit Chan number 2! Sigh… love them. This 5th and 6th single from the album are slow numbers… the 6th is Ji Who Ai Guo Ni - I Nearly Loved You - is about a girl who nearly loved the guy she love. Sappy love songs are big in the chinese industry… dunno why
There is a duet with Chen Weilian on the album…. skip that la…
Overall… it is a very commendable effort by the project superstar alumni… Three and a half stars out of five.
Listen to the songs on the album here http://www.tt78.com/S/2/3539/8413.htm
I saw it at Music Junction… selling for $17.90… sigh… so expensive… i am hoping for a China Import version… it is usually much cheaper… at $5 to $7.

you have to be blind not to see ikea’s new super-mega-warehouse off the TPE… its "IKEA" signboard is extremely gianatic that you can see it like 5 km away… its really a good thing to see such huge thing in the quiet eastern part of singapore… thats really worth while to wait… i think it is the beginning of many things huge… and mega… oooh exciting…
so… thats how i end my boring weekend with my parents… hehehe what did i buy? i bought a wooden two-tier shoe rack… one round sponge seat (i dunno why i pick this up… maybe i am contemplating joining back my sch db team… but… thats another thing… most imptly the round pad is green… i dunno most of the folks now… and the small kampong few are gone… i think… now… its a complicated bunch who just love vulgarities… thats what i heard from the instructor)… oneb pack of really beautiful christmas lights… (erm why did i pick that up? hmmm i was thinking of my office cubicles…. must have something festive… although i doubt that i will even use it.. because it is always brightly lit… but i cant contain my temptation to buy it… cos its green, hahaha) okok… so what else did i pick up…. a 50 cm by 50 cm cushion… i have no idea why i pick it up again… hahaha ok abit of an air-head as usual… maybe it is to place my air-head on… hahaha
the good thing is…. they give us these heart shape toys… on the way in… at the car park… but they are really ugly… with huge tags that tell us who designed it… yucks… so i passed it to tasha… hanging it around her neck… hahaha… she loves it… it still hangs around her neck…. hmmm ok… better take it off…
so its really a wonderful experience… shopping at the new ikea… cos the carpark is FOC.. unlike the one at alexander… but the queue to this new mega-store is long… that explains the barricades to the entrance… and the need for ushers… but by the time i went… at around 8pm.. the crowd is less… lots of empty car park lots… huge carpark….
with ikea opened… courts and giant super-mega-malls are about to complete their renovation… wow… its going to be a very exciting place… out of nowhere… along TPE…
