i used to live on the other side of life… during my army days… i was a military policeman… but i was posted to gombak… guess what i was doing there… security… so naturally we have rules and regulations that need to be followed… and we can be so anal about things like food in the building… and we catched those who smuggled into the building… but when its our turn… we walked right through without anyone stopping us… haa… double standards huh… well that’s life…

so when i got into heated argument with security guards… i really really flare up… must be retribution…

what happened last year… hmm i did not register my bicycle in my own estate… damn… those security broke the chain and lock… and dump it with a pile of dirty bikes at the basement of some rubbish chute… WTF… so i went to confront the management… then they said i didnt read the notice… of cos la… who reads notice board nowadays… anyway… they printed out the notice for me to read… then i asked… why did they break my chain and lock… they said no choice… i demanded payment… of cos they made a big fuss… and i was reasoning with them like a mad man… haaa then this stupid guy said he would consult the team… so naturally i asked him to write on the peace of paper that he would promise to do so… but he never… argh… in the end… my bike had lots of scratches… and it was brand new… damn…

today… i was at ngee ann city… ok we had a booth there to promote diploma courses… but we packed our things and was about to leave… when one security guard came over… when he saw the movers with two trolleys of boxes… he said, "cannot move them now!" i asked, "why not? we are not dismantling the whole booth? we are just moving the boxes out of the building." he said, "cannot cannot the memo said so… we cannot change rules!" er… so i asked, "ok so can i speak to the person-in-charge since your management is not working on Sunday." he said,"you must go to the JD office at the main road on the first floor to tell them." so i asked, "why don’t you give me the office number and i call them?" he said,"no cannot. we don’t have the office number. you have to go up there." puzzled, i asked, "don’t you guys have the contact numbers? in case of emergency then what do you do?" he said,"no no we don’t have the numbers. you have to go up there and tell them. we are different. we are only in charge of the basement floor." er… so i asked, "where is the JD office?" can you bring me there?" he said, "no no cannot. we cannot leave this floor. you have to go yourself to the first floor main road." i was very tempted to scold vulgar langauage at this point… but i just had to control my anger… i mean what is the problem with us moving our boxes to the vehicle?… He added,"now cannot move all those boxes because got customer… you later knock those customers will get complain!" ok…i said,"if we move one box at a time… surely we can." he exclaimed, "no cannot. this is the rule. cannot move anything out of the booth. you see the box. you must stay there until 10 o’clock before you can go." wah… i tell you… i am close to melting point… one more cannot i am going to blast their ass off… but i didnt… so i told the movers to come back at 10pm…. but i told the security guards "we paid for the space but it never restrict us from leaving this booth empty!" and i walked away…. WTF!!!

later on… my poor best friends… had to endure my anger… really really angry… i had to cool myself down… sigh… i have to say sorry to them… if you folks are reading this… i hope you understand why i am so angry… it took me awhile to cool down… but you guys are great… thank you

* Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote
keys?*
This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call
someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a   foot from your car door and have the person
at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on
their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your
keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away,
and if you can reach someone who has the other ‘remote’ for your car, you
can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

You probably won’t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever
stole it can’t use/sell it either.
If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile
phones.

it has been a brilliant week… a brand new school term… lots of notes to read… and interesting topics that will be covered… i can’t stop myself from reading them… haaa… bet you didnt know i have 3 classes this semester… yeah… which means 3 times a week… tiring siah… but its all worth it… cos i got to see familar faces in class… ya there’s eugene, alicia and jac… so funny… but this time round… we have different modules… that means… we don’t meet each other that often… but its ok… haaa

oh~ and what do you know.. i discovered some really fantastic places to eat…

1st stop - asian kitchen… you may give this restaurant a miss because its doesn’t really serve one type of food… it serves many ASIAN dishes… haaa… and moreover… its not as crowded as the sakae sushi opposite… well i’m talking about the branch at marina square… by now you should know i am a marina square shopper… i’m practically there almost every weekend… cut my hair, makan, shop for clothes… haaaa… its weird… but you know… i’m weird… okok… let me get back to FOOD… ok what me and my best friend ordered…. i ordered this fantastic thick pineapple curry with rice… it is actually something like green curry… but its filled with duck meat, potatoes and pineapples… i would have love it more if they give me more potatoes and bigger chunks of pineapples…. but the curry is DELICIOUS… and it cost $7+…. and my best friend ordered soft shell crabs with rice… when it arrived… i was shocked… there were TWO crabs on the plate… and boy, they are big!… and it came with this delicious curry sauce that i have never tasted before… but its abit on the salty side… and it cost $8+… i ordered a side dish… fried calamari… haa we are such big fans of sotong… and this thai styled calamari is simply delicious… its still juicy and tender despite being coated with thin fried flour… whahahaha… simply yummy and its $5+ for a plate… gosh… and the avocado juice is really nice… not too thick… just nice so you can suck it through the thin straw… slurp…

second stop - there’s this store at SMU… its at the basement 1 kopitiam … wah… the brownies are really nice… those choc fudge melts nicely in my mouth and its not too sweet… love it… and slurp… i heard there will be pineapple tarts soon… for new year… ok maybe i will order four tubs… one for my parents, one for my grandma, one for my best friend’s family and one for my colleagues… hmmm and i will bring some for my friends in school… wahahahaha… okok… dun boo me…

last stop - this nice dim sum shop next to the chinatown hdb building’s carpark… i think you know where… haa… ya went back there to makan… i order pi dan shou rou zhou… as usual… wahaha i dunno why i only eat that… hahahaha… blah~ but it serving is really alot… lots of lean pork meat :)… and some dim sum… but there are two new ones… one is mango wrap with chicken meat with prawns and coated with flour then deep fried… wah… nice… the other one is banana… hahaha i thought it looked like bushy D**K… hahahah ok if you dunno what i mean…. wahahaha its rather nice… cos the banana is ripe and almost like goreng pisang… the difference is… the flour… somehow… those.. hair like things are really preventing me from biting the banana…wahahaha…

there must be something that keeps me in my current workplace and i found out today… it has something to do with compassion or emotion… if you would like it to be so… you see… i have an educational background that is not as prestigious as most of my peers… well… they studied in top schools at least once… went to popular schools and had friends who are holding top positions… but i did not… i studied in neighbourhood schools… in fact its considered a gangster school… those days… they smoked in the school toilet… had gang fights… had sex at neighbouring blocks… you name it… they probably did it… but i had great friends… they maybe reciting vulgarities like poems… or sharing porn comics in class… haa ya there was this incident in secondary two… in fact… i wonder if my friends can still remember… the big fuss… when the comic went missing… it was really funny… but its enjoyable… you see i like these friends… haaa they bring smile to my face… because they dun fuss about exams or failure… they try their best and everyone helps each other… yes… copy the answers… haaa… but its really harmless because in the midst of copying we learn… and i am not afraid to admit that during uni… we copied too… from the better ones… just so that we can learn from them… and it didnt make me the worst kid nor did it fail me in life…

so when i face an elitist… or wannabe… who look down on people who aren’t as intelligent as them… i get kinda piss off… ahaa…

my boss was appraising me today… ya its the fiesta of annual appraisals… and she was giving me an example of a cleaner… well… i know the cleaner too… and she holds two job… her daughter is studying at my poly… but she mixed with the wrong company and played truant… eventually she stopped coming to class altogether… and it had been a year now… her mum stopped working and no news from her… i don’t know why but i teared… haaa i must have shocked my boss… she decided to talk about something else…

i guess i want to help… i… i dunno…maybe i’m just emotional… but i know better… now.. why i am still in the educational line…

i’m supposed to have a new year’s resolution but i have decided not too… like many others… and like what i have done previously… i never really follow them… so haa i think i will not have one this year…

i just came back from penang and damn… i’m so tired cos i fell sick on the second day… must be the heat… at first i have sore throat, then i have running nose and couldn’t stop sneezing… then i have fever… i have fever for three days… haaa if i were to travel during those sars period… i dun think i will make it back to sg… i will likely be quarantine and spend my new year in the hospital… breathing oxygen from pipes… but luckily i got better when i am back home… being at home cures most illness i think

but before i can get there… my brother is also down with fever and flu… coincidentally, it makes ben a very jealous brother… ahahaha… you see, ben has a tendency to think mum treats brother better… and to him its always true that mum treats brother better… but it is a fact that mum treats brother better… haaaa ok i am cranky because of my fever…

tomorrow is a brand new day and i am going to start on my pbl foundation course… ehee finally after nearly 2 and a half years… i am given a chance to experience what is so great about this pedagogy… yea… i must add i am so excited about this… i even wrote in and asked my prospective future employer to postpone an interview to a later date… haaa i must be crazy…

well… life is like that… i must not let opportunities like this slip away… 2 and a half years is a long wait… i must make it worth while…
